Pot Luck Dinner

Had a great get together with friends. A great Kiwi tradition are 'Pot Luck Dinners' where everyone brings a plate or two of foods to share. Quite exciting wondering what there will be to eat. We had all sorts from Italian Chicken to Crayfish Mornay.

Paul took some pics of where he works and where I study. Warning: These photos may bore some of you.

Summer's Here

Yes! After what felt like the wettest, longest winter ever (we are going soft) it feels great to welcome back the sunshine and lighter evenings.

I Love My Dogs

Ahhh Bisto!

Oooh we do so love our English foods. Thanks Nanny and Grampy.

First Kiwi Wedding

Paul and I went to our first wedding in NZ. Liaga and Tracey got married and had their reception right by Lake Karapiro. It was a great day.

Lake Karapiro

At the end of October this lake (which is 5 minutes away) will host the World Rowing Championships. Look out for it on Sky Sports.

Waihou River

The weather is really starting to pick up and we thought we would head to the river for a picnic. NZ at its best.

Fraser and Joe bake

All was going well in the kitchen and I was most impressed with Fraser's handmade gingerbread man (we don't have a cutter). After I congratulated him on his artistic ability he decided to go one step further and make a willy... Boys!

In the Classroom

My 6 week practicum was with year 7's in a private school. Great kids and a lot of learning, mostly mine I might add!

Corey came to visit.

This weekend we finally had the chance to meet young Corey. He was so lovely...a real handsome chap. Corey's proud mum and dad are called Graham and Jade and they live in Clive on the eastern coast, a good 3.5 hour drive. I met Jade on the ENZ forum back in the pre emigration days. It was great to catch up. I have a sneaky feeling that the next time we get together Corey will have a brother or sister. Under the blankets are some very disappointed people who got up early to watch the football. What a load of ......

Another Science Fair

Fraser worked very hard on his science project together with 'help' from Joe and I. This project is number 3 of 4. Joe completed 2 and Fraser now has 1 to go. The joys!

2 Years

April 17th saw us celebrating the 2 year anniversary. How do we feel? We still miss all of our UK mates...do we have any left? I stupidly imagine that the nieces and nephews etc haven't changed and see photos and get a shock. I no longer crave Jaffa Cakes or Cadbury's...well I do but medication has helped. Seriously though we are all fine and dandy and cannot believe where the 2 years have gone.
